ONE PIECE Card Game has announced a new update to its Banned & Restricted Card List, with OP14-020 Dracule Mihawk becoming the biggest change!
The Green Mihawk Leader will be completely banned from official and sanctioned tournaments starting October 12, 2026. Bandai evaluates cards based on tournament results, usage, win rate, future design impact, and how much they limit other Leaders in the game.

Dracule Mihawk

Mihawk has been one of the strongest Green Leaders in the current OP-17 environment, especially with cards such as Shanks and Vander Decken IX giving the deck some extremely powerful turns. Recent tournament data also shows Mihawk continuing to appear regularly among winning and top-performing decks.

Instead of banning one of those supporting cards, Bandai has decided to remove Mihawk himself, meaning players will no longer be able to use OP14-020 as their Leader once the new restriction takes effect.

A new P-163 Dracule Mihawk Leader is also expected to serve as an alternative version of the character going forward.

Other Banned & Restricted Cards

The rest of the current banned list remains largely unchanged.
Currently banned cards include:

There are currently no Restricted Cards, meaning no cards are limited to only one copy.

Bandai also still has several Banned Pair combinations, meaning the two specified cards cannot be included together in the same deck. These include I Re-Quasar Helllp!! + Borsalino, as well as two combinations involving Monkey.D.Luffy with Charlotte Katakuri or Charlotte Linlin.
What do you guys think of the Mihawk ban? Was banning the Leader the right move, or would you rather see one of his supporting cards banned instead?
